AWOL Dancer - Dancing in the trees.Experience ...
... an entertaining arts festival in the heavily forested Mary S. Young Park in West Linn, Oregon, only seven miles South of Portland.

Join us for the eighth annual arts festival in West Linn’s heavily forested park, featuring visual and performing arts. Browse the creative works of professional artists displayed in booths lining forest paths; view a variety of entertaining performers in the cool shade of a fir grove, including the acrobatic AWOL tree dancers; and feast on fine picnic fare and beverages.

The Festival is FREE to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, August 14–15, 2010 just off Highway 43, centered in the 128-acre park’s picnic area. Parking is plentiful.

You’ll find an array of juried visual art on display and for sale

Including original oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings; pencil drawings; mosaics; baskets; wood, metal and stone sculptures; fused, stained and painted glass; gemstone, bead, ceramic and precious metal jewelry; embellished serving ware; photography; ceramics; fiber art; clothing and accessories; garden furniture and art; posters; and interior furniture. There is a Children’s Art Station with free art supplies and ideas for hands-on creativity. Don't forget to stop by and bid on our Silent Auction art pieces donated by the artists, themselves!

You’ll enjoy the performing artists, too

Entertain the whole family with many fine visual and performing artists. Headliners include the A-WOL Dance Collective tree dancers, 'The New Iberians' with their zydeco blues sounds, Connie Bieberach & Armonia with their authentic traditional music and latin jazz, as well as, Adam the Great magician and a host of others. See "Daily Schedule" for more information.
